Texera Engine
private alphaThe governed data agent. Ask your systems operational questions; get answers with evidence. Weaving systems that hold.
The problem
The questions that run a business live in its databases: who is late on payments, which lines are slipping, what changed since last week. Getting an answer means either staff who write SQL or a queue in front of someone who does. Generic chatbots offer a third way that doesn't work — they memorise a demo schema and hallucinate everything else. In an operational setting, a confident wrong answer is worse than a slow right one.
Four ideas, taken seriously
Discovery, not memorization
Texera learns your data landscape at runtime — the schemas, the vocabularies, the quirks. Nothing about your systems is baked into prompts or models, so every engagement starts from zero knowledge and the engine earns the knowledge it has. Your instance never leaks into the next client's, because it was never in a prompt to begin with.
Answers with evidence
Every answer carries its receipts: the validated query that produced it, the sources it read, the lineage from question to number. If a claim can't be traced, it isn't an answer — it's a guess, and Texera doesn't guess.
Governed by construction
Read-only boundaries. Allow-listed sources. A full audit trail of everything the engine saw and did. Safety here is an architectural property, not a policy document — the same property our delivery practice audits (seegoverned adoption).
Answers that become tools
An answer worth asking twice is worth keeping. Texera promotes a recurring question into a small working application — with the same evidence chain — in minutes. Insight becomes infrastructure instead of a chat scrollback.
An example
1
ask"Which customers were late on payments this quarter, and by how much?"
2
discoverThe engine maps the relevant sources at runtime — ledger, customers, terms — and proposes a query plan.
3
verifyThe query is validated against the allow-list and executed read-only. Everything it touched is written to the audit trail.
4
answerA table of customers, days late, amounts — each row traceable to the query and source that produced it.
Status — in plain words
Texera is in private alpha. We deploy it with early-access partners, in their environment, under their governance. We also run it on our own operations every day — it answers our questions before it answers yours. We will not claim production maturity we haven't earned.
What an early-access engagement looks like
Discovery → connect (read-only, allow-listed) → a pilot set of your real questions → hardening against your audit requirements → capability transfer to your team. Weeks, not quarters. If Texera doesn't fit, you keep the findings and owe us nothing beyond the agreed pilot.
